The Big Design Market

The Big Design Market returns to Carriageworks in Eveleigh from Friday to Sunday. KeenOut’s Saturday group session runs from 10:30am to 1:30pm, inside the organiser’s wider 9am–6pm Saturday hours.

The organiser lists more than 230 exhibitors across homewares, ceramics, art, fashion, jewellery, books and stationery. Adult admission is A$8 including booking fees, and entry is free for children aged 12 and under. Each person needs their own admission; purchases from exhibitors and food vendors are optional.

Thailand Grand Festival

The free Thailand Grand Festival runs at Tumbalong Park in Darling Harbour on Saturday and Sunday from 10am. KeenOut’s Saturday lunch session is 11:30am–2:30pm, giving the group a clear arrival time inside the wider festival day.

The official listing includes Thai street food from several regions, live music, cultural performances, Muay Thai and cooking demonstrations. Entry is free; food and other purchases are separate. Use the private group chat to agree on a precise public meeting landmark before travelling.

The Big Busk: Sunset Symphony

The Big Busk brings free Sydney Youth Orchestras performances to public spaces across central Sydney on Saturday. This KeenOut plan uses the official 5pm–6pm Sunset Symphony finale at First Fleet Park, Circular Quay, rather than asking a group to chase performances between locations.

The concert is free and the organiser suggests bringing friends, family and a picnic. Donations supporting youth music are optional and external. Because it is outdoors, check the organiser’s page again on Saturday for any program or weather changes.

Carman’s Fun Run: Sunday 5K

Carman’s Fun Run starts from Metcalfe Park in Pyrmont on Sunday. KeenOut’s plan is specifically for the official 5K, whose priority wave begins at 9:30am and whose course cut-off is 11:30am. The half marathon, 10K and Pink Lady 5K Walk use different start times and are not interchangeable with this group.

Every attendee must register separately for the 5K through the organiser before joining KeenOut. The organiser lists last-minute entry at A$70 for adults and A$60 for under-18s. Arrive early for your bib and bag drop, and use group chat to agree on a public meeting point in the event village.
